Call for Art: Next International Online Art Show Coming in October

Think beyond the traditional palette of whites, grays, and icy blues...

Imagine cobalt beneath silver.

Indigo beside ivory.

Lavender fading into gray.

Pine green against snow.

Ochre grasses beneath a frozen sky.

Copper light on ice.

Rose reflected in snow at sunset.

This is an International Show and Winter in your part of the world may look entirely different depending on how close you are to the equator. The possibilities are wide and wonderful.

The show will open for entries in mid-October. Keep a close watch here for the opening date!

We've Selected A Charity to Help Using Our Art

At the last Zoom member meeting we selected Have Faith Haiti as the next charity Pastel Society Alaska wants to help. You can view their website and a great 60-Minutes feature at this link: https://havefaithhaiti.org/

Pastel Society Alaska was founded with the mission to use our art to make the world around us a better place. We alternate between local and international charities. This year an international charity was up to be chosen. 

Usually we donate paintings or images for prints to be sold or auctioned off to raise money for the work. One hundred percent of the profits after expenses go to the charity. We've found some exciting and easy-to-do ideas for prints, cards, etc. We're working on the details!

Meanwhile, start thinking of images and paintings you'd like to offer to bring money to help these children with schooling and daily needs. Your artwork could change the course of their lives.
